Choosing The Right Technology

Thought provoking article about the square peg, round hole syndrome. Oftentimes it makes sense to do what you know, as long as it works of course. It’s nice to see someone explore, even in a restrospective, the many facets that go into making a particular technology decision.

It has always seemed to me that to know only one web framework is to know only how to use one tool. It doesn’t do a person much good to know how to only use a hammer. Sometimes when building a deck, you use wood screws and sometimes you use nails. The key thing is to know how to do both.
