CultureRx is a high-profile subsidiary of Best Buy that manages and consults on workplace policy and culture. This small company of five implemented a Results-Only Work Environment (ROWE) at the Best Buy corporate headquarters, creating a revolutionary work culture that lets employees work anytime, anywhere as long as the work gets done.

CultureRx marketing emailBust Out Solutions was brought on at CultureRx to fulfill a number of their technology gaps. We built a custom, web-based survey and reporting system in Ruby on Rails to help monitor the Best Buy employees’ progress as they transitioned to a ROWE. CultureRx required very specific survey reports that weren’t available in any packaged software solution, so we tailored the survey and reports to their exact requirements.

CultureRx’s previous website was built in Flash, which made it very difficult to make content changes. In order to solve this problem, we completely re-invented culturerx.com to include an integrated content management system to enable a staff member to make changes without requiring web programming skills. The email signup form on the website integrates to an email marketing system, which allows the company to communicate with its customer base in a branded, intelligent way. Behind the scenes of the website (as with every public-facing site Bust Out Solutions develops) is Google Analytics, enabling the website owners to track more information about visitors than they know what to do with.
