The SPCO
The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. Our custom framework built atop WordPress enables the SPCO staff to not only maintain information on the website, but also easily create complex page layouts without touching a line of code.
Visual Design
A Flexible Refresh
For this project, we refreshed the existing visual design with a flexible, responsive system that allows the staff to create complex page layouts with drag-and-drop simplicity that automatically adapt to tablets and mobile devices.

Engineering
Custom Page Layouts
A common problem with content management systems is the inability to do more than just add text to a page without getting into the code. We developed a block-based system for WordPress that allows the SPCO staff to create pages by assembling and arranging a variety of different block types including event lists, audio links, carousels, posts, social links, and more.

Blocks are minimized, by default, to give the user a broad overview.

Clicking the block expands it to reveal it's settings.

Text blocks replicate the standard WordPress text entry field.

Posts blocks display a configurable number of posts, optionally from a specific category.

Carousel blocks allow a number of images to be added to a sliding carousel, each with additional content such as a title, subtitle, and link.

Blocks can even be added to a sidebar.
